If you are in a position to decide when to start your working day because you have a very chilled job or because you are your own boss, you’ll know how difficult it can be to stay disciplined. For months I had sleepless nights and nightmares about the things I had to do such as; the laundry, cooking, replying to emails, editing my Youtube videos and creating concepts for companies. Can you imagine how chaotic my mind was? In this article I’m exclusively sharing how I positively changed my mindset, use my time in the morning and during the day to have a productive week + download my personal weekly schedule.
1. HAVE ENOUGH SLEEP.
To start with a good and refreshing morning routine, you have to at least sleep a minimum of 6 hours. Shut down everything about 1 to 2 hours before bedtime that’s distracting like; social media and your laptop (No Instagram, No Netflix and Chill) and consciously create a peaceful environment, read an inspirational book or just listen to a soulful music with some candle lights. Can you feel it? Good!
2. DREAM ABOUT YOUR GOALS.
Research has shown that 80% of our dreams involve negative emotions because of stress. Write down your goals or create a vision board and give it a nice spot in your room. Look at it every night before bedtime until your brain starts processing it in your dreams.
3. MORNING RITUAL.
Its only when I started to work on a structured schedule is when I realized how important it is to start the day with a fresh and positive mind. You can do anything if you put your mind into it, so it’s also the mind you have to convince when you’re feeling less motivated. Prepare a daily morning routine that creates peace in your mind. My morning routine starts with a prayer, a podcast and/or a book. Oh and breakfast, if I’m not in a hurry. (don’t judge me, I’m still working on it lol)
4. MONDAY’S AREN’T BAD AFTER ALL.
Trust me, life is so much easier when you have a good and structured schedule for the week. Make sure to start off your Monday’s with a good and positive vibe that will motivate you to get through the week. Click here to download my personal weekly schedule.
